About Us
Rita Mitchell, MA, LPC
Mrs. Mitchell grew up in Sandusky, a tiny community in the "thumb" of Michigan. As an adult she lived in Columbus, Mississippi for four years and then in Las Vegas, Nevada for two years before moving back home to Michigan. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Mississippi University for Women in 1989 and a Master of Arts in School Counseling from Western Michigan University in 1997. She has previous experience teaching 3rd grade and 5th grade.
Mrs. Mitchell began her career as an elementary school counselor in 1997. She absolutely loves her job! The children at school make her smile and learn something new every day. Mrs. Mitchell loves being a school counselor because she can help students learn how to deal with the stressful things that happen in life and also teach them the skills they need to be successful in their personal interactions with others. In addition to her certification as a school counselor in the state of Michigan, Mrs. Mitchell is also a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). Outside school Mrs. Mitchell volunteers for Journeys, a grief program for children and the adults that care for them, which is a program of the Southwest Michigan Hospice Association. Mrs. Mitchell's family includes her husband, Paul, her son, Ryan and daughter-in-law Amanda, and her son, Adam. She also has two cats, Maizey and Miyagi. In her spare time Mrs. Mitchell loves to read, bake goodies, work in her flower gardens, and attend sporting events with her family (Go Blue!).

S. Keith Fuller, MA, LPC
Mr. Fuller grew up in Haslett (MI) where he graduated from high school in 1985. He earned his Bachelor's Degree from
Western Michigan University (go Broncos!) in art education in 1990. He taught elementary art in Rockford (2 years) and Comstock (11 years) before joining the OPS Counseling Department in February 2003. He earned his Master's Degree in Counseling from WMU in 2000, and obtained his current certificate as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in 2008: a license that allows him to counsel students and adults of all ages. Besides working with students and their
families, Mr. Fuller enjoys frisbee with black labs, playing acoustic bass, acting and singing at The New Vic Theatre in Kalamazoo, yelling at the TV when the Detroit Tigers are playing, and spending time at his cabin on the Sturgeon River up north (don't get him started on kayaking!).
